Ville Koistinen was awarded a Title of Docent in the discipline of food and nutritional metabolomics by the University of Turku on February 7, 2025. The title in general is awarded based on extensive knowledge in the discipline and good teaching skills, and it translates as Associate professor in those countries where the Title of Docent is not used. Ville has been working for almost six years in the field since his PhD, focusing on metabolite identification and other parts of metabolomics data analysis in a variety of studies related to food and nutrition.
